His and Hers

November 22, 2011

Of all the things my husband and I have in common, our obsession with perfume is pretty much a given. The first time I met Bruce, I was immediately drawn to him and his perfume. And up to this day, he still uses the same perfume and it brings back wonderful memories. Fortunately, it has become more accessible for us and I love discovering new scents for him and for myself. Although I buy most of them from department stores, I try to stay away from popular/sprayed-all-over-the-store perfumes. The problem with popular scents is that, everybody uses it and the novelty tends to wear off. And when it gets common and overrated, my interest fades away quite easily. We’ve tried quite a few over the last couple of years and we do like to keep at least a bottle or two of past perfumes we’ve used and get new ones. I tend to rotate between several perfumes, but always find myself drawn to ones that are light floral and fruity.
