Aiden’s 3rd Birthday at Legoland

June 26, 2012

I initially thought of having a Lego-themed party for my 3-year old but we decided why not celebrate his birthday at Legoland instead. Although spending Aiden’s birthday with our family and friends is always wonderful, seeing him enjoying his birthday, how his eyes lit up as soon as he saw his favorite things, his smile and how he loved all the rides is priceless. Here are a few pictures of Aiden’s 3rd birthday at Legoland. Enjoy!

The Best Things In Life Are Free

June 12, 2012

But gifts are good too, y’know!

June is a very special month in our family. Both my boys’ birthdays are only 3 days apart plus Father’s Day is also celebrated this month. Having my boys in my life is the ultimate gift and I have been so blessed. My husband knows how much I adore him and appreciate all the things he has done for me and Aiden and he never fails to make me feel special no matter the circumstances. They say “it’s the thought that counts” yet sometimes words cannot suffice. Giving him a little something is just the icing and I know he appreciates it every time.

Bruce used to tell me that when he was growing up, he only had one watch at a time and yet he was never ungrateful. Now, he has more than one.

Ever since we met, I know of his obsession with Oakley sunglasses. He was able to accumulate a few pairs overtime and to add to his collection, I got him two new pairs. I know he definitely deserves more than this and seeing that huge smile on his face just lights up my world.

Happy Birthday, Dad! You are everything I ever want and more. It’s nice to know that I will be spending the rest of my life loving you.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Aiden!

Aiden love,

I am so glad that God gave us a son like you. Three years went by so fast and it seems like it was just yesterday when I first held you. As parents, the best gift we could give you would be love, peace, joy, happiness, adventure, contentment, stability, resilience and the importance of goodwill. May you grow up to be God-fearing and be blessed with these qualities in your life. You gave us joy and happiness that is immeasurable. No matter how many birthdays come and go, you will always be our baby boy. We love you!

{Currently Coveting} Rose Gold

May 27, 2012

I’m obsessed.

It all started with Balenciaga’s Rose Gold Hardware and now I can’t get enough of this gorgeous metal. One of the hottest jewelry trends that I am loving right now is Rose Gold (a.k.a. Pink Gold). It’s been around for ages but it’s making a big comeback and I couldn’t be more elated. This unique precious metal gives warmth and an instant romantic feel to any look. It is universally flattering and brings out the rosy hue of your skin. That’s why we always hear about “seeing life through rose-colored glasses.” Everything is just softer, prettier and happier in rose gold.

If you’re eager to add some rose gold to your wardrobe, I have a handful of picks and tricks below. Add a little rose gold “sparkle” to your collection, be it lavish or light, this trend is a must for this season and the years to come.

1. Nail the Rose Gold look by pairing rings with nude nail polish for a classic look. Try Butter’s All Hail The Queen.

2. Match it with neutral, earthy and copper toned accessories. There is a higher level of copper in Rose Gold which gives it it’s warm color. Add lace for a more romantic look.

3. A fabulous color to pair it with is blue! It makes a stunning contrast and it looks very rich whether it’s with navy, turquoise or cobalt.

4. Mix it up with other color metals. I love the trio of metals together (yellow gold, white gold and rose gold) and especially love the meaning behind the trinity.

5. Pair it with diamonds! The combination of diamonds, whether they are white, black or pink diamonds (I DIE!) with rose gold really makes the rosy color pop and the diamonds sparkle like crazy. It’s a gorgeous combination and I have plenty of Rose Gold pieces with diamonds that I am dying to have. (But can’t.. right now! LOL!)

It’s a Girl!

May 20, 2012

I apologize for the lack of posts for the last couple of weeks. I have been quite preoccupied with a lot of things and I was happily co-organizing a baby shower for my friend who’s due to have another bundle of joy. Here are a couple of pictures that show the details of the baby shower and considering she’s having a girl, it’s a perfect excuse to load up on all things pink and pastel.
